I was pleased and honored to be sworn in as the Alderman of Chicago’s 1st Ward on March 26, 2010. As Alderman, I’ll look for community-based solutions to solve our biggest challenges. I’ll be a strong and independent advocate for the people of the 1st Ward in the Chicago City Council and no one else. |

Notes REP. BERRIOS TO HOST 4th ANNUAL WOMEN’S HEALTH FAIR
State Representative Maria A. “Toni” Berrios will be hosting her annual Women’s Wellness & Resource Fair on Friday, May 21, 2010.
This year’s Women’s Wellness and Resource Fair will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. Hyacinth School-Resurrection Hall, located on 3636 W. Wolfram Street.
There will be a wide array of social programs and services available, including: free health screenings for blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol; and assistance in accessing state, county and city health programs. We will have exercise and fitness instruction and makeovers and massages. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to register to vote (two forms of valid government-issued identification required) and to win a prize.
